Live Session with Platinum producer Trauma Tone
Live Session with Platinum producer Trauma Tone who has credits with the likes of the Migos, Curren$y, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Chief Keef, Young Dolph, Kevin Gates, Money Man, Bino Rideaux, and countless others.
VA-born producer Trauma Tone has had a major hand in developing the sound for today’s biggest hip-hop wave, working with artists like Migos, Curren$y, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Chief Keef, Young Dolph, Kevin Gates, Money Man, Bino Rideaux, and countless others. His trippy north-meets-south sound is a melting pot of influences that makes his iconic production highly sought after and respected.
In 2020 alone, he secured his first Billboard #1 with Youngboy’s TOP, having produced “Cross Roads,” and achieved platinum status on his record “I Know” with Yo Gotti and Rich Homie Quan, amongst other accolades. He produced a pair of records for Bino Rideaux on his Def Jam mixtape debut OUTSIDE and Kevin Gates’ singles “Dreka” and “Always Be My Gangsta” while also delivering contagious records with frequent collaborator Money Man. A great overall architect of sound design and a drum specialist, Trauma’s sound sets him apart from the rest.
This year stands to launch Trauma even higher into the upper echelon of super-producers as he has a new credit on the Migos latest album Culture III, specifically single “Roadrunner” and is an integral part of an exciting new developing project. He also produced “Obey Your Thirst” by Young Dolph on RichSlave(Deluxe) and Duke Deuce’s “Busy” withLil Keed. As a frequent collaborator with beloved rapper Curren$y, he was called on to work as an executive producer on the rapper’s two new projects slated for release this summer, including Welcome to Jet Life II. His working relationship with Curren$y has been lucrative and long-standing; the pair have already collaborated on several tracks this year for his Collection Agency project including “Kush Through The Sunroof,” “Shout Outs,” and “Closing Date.”
Though often marked by driving keys and addictive melodies, no two beats are the same for Trauma Tone. He specializes in hip-hop and R&B but pulls unique inspiration from all genres. Since learning to produce at age 12 from a cousin who showed him how to cook up on FL Studio, his soundscapes have been ever-evolving and continue to break the mold. With DJBooth calling his records, “earworms poised to become your favorite song,” it’s no wonder every rapper and producer has Trauma on speed dial.
